Do I have to pay to attend? What if I don’t want the t-shirt and I just want to bring my dog for the activities?
Maryland SPCA Festival for the Animals, formerly the March for the Animals, is our largest annual fundraising event and without it, we would not be able to care for the thousands and thousands of homeless pets that come to our shelter each year. That is why we ask that each person who participates in the walk-a-thon at the Festival either raises or donates a minimum of $40. That allows you to participate in the walk-a-thon, along with a MD SPCA Festival for the Animals t-shirt and a doggie bandana. Don’t forget, 100% of funds raised goes directly to benefit homeless pets! Admission to the music concert and vendor village is free.
Do people have to donate online? What should I do if I receive cash and checks?
Donations can be made online via a credit card or they can donate via cash or check. If your donors wish to mail checks directly to the MD SPCA or you have checks to mail, please include a note that the donation should be applied towards your fundraising page and mail to: MD SPCA, Attn: MD SPCA Festival for the Animals, 3300 Falls Rd., Baltimore, MD 21211. We will update your fundraising page with the donation once it is received.
You can also drop off your cash and check donations and pick up your t-shirt during the event on Saturday, May 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at registration when you check-in.
How can I add my cash and check donations to my webpage so that my thermometer goes up?
The MD SPCA will enter all “offline” donations (i.e., cash and checks). Once we receive them from you (see above), we will add them to your page and you will see your thermometer go up.
